A New Masthead Design
Blogger has been adding some new templates lately; I have played with a few, much to my disappointment. The concepts do not fit my plans for the site. At any rate, I did change the headline photo to an ink illustration I completed last year. It seems appropriate for a writing/poetry themed blog.
Agreed. It does seem appropriate. I like.
ReplyDelete--and I managed to create a favicon. Took 24 hours before it could show up on my browser, but it is there.
ReplyDeleteWas tossing around the idea of using less minimalistic white/black tones — but I do like the tabloid/broadside concepts of the past centuries. Sometimes a basic look is best.
I battle with my lust for words. I take the greatest pleasure in thick soupy verbiage - but really do know that basic is best. Your basic look here is entirely correct. Creates (in my mind at any rate) the right feel. I have promised myself I will read through your site. I worshipped the haiku whilst at Uni (first degree was an MA(hons) in English literature - at Glasgow Uni) - and you have brought all memory of that love back. Thank you.
